Death
Funeral services for M. F. Furr, 51, of Springer, N. M., an uncle of Roy Furr, Lubbock groceryman, will be held at 2 p.m. today in the chapel of Higginbothem funeral home at Lamesa. Burial will be Lamesa cemetery. Mr. Furr, a rancher who had been in ill health a year, died about 1 a. m. Thursday in Lubbock Memorial Hospital. The body was taken to Lamesa from Rix funeral home. He is survived by his wife, one daughter, Miss Cova Furr of Springger; two brothers, Ben Furr of Terrell, Okla., and Willis Furr of Memphis, Tenn.; three sisters, Mrs. C. W. Furr of Amarillo, Mrs. J. M. Felts of Kirkland, and Mrs. Bert Loar of Paducah.Lubbock Morning Avalanche, Lubbock, Texas, August 30, 1946
