Death
James B. Furr, Sr., 65, of 4235 W. Capitol street died Friday afternoon at the Veterans Administration Hospital. He was a native of Attala county and former resident of Edinburg. He had lived in Jackson for sixteen years. Mr. Furr was a veteran of World War one and a former employee of Morris Ice Company, retiring three years ago due to ill health. He was a member of Highland Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, the former Ione Vashti Blocker of Attala county; three sons, James B. Furr., Jack Odell Furr and Henry Carlton Furr, all of Jackson; two grandsons, Michael Furr and Larry Paul Furr of Jackson. Services will be conducted Sunday at 3:00 p.m. from Center Baptist Church in Attala county with the Rev. J. P. Neel, Jr., paster of Highland Baptist Church Jackson, officiating. Wright and Ferguson in charge of local arrangements.Endnotes
