Death
Mrs. J.B. Furr Sr., 81, of 4235 West Capitol St., died Monday night at Baptist Medical Center after a short illness. Services: 11 a.m. today at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home with burial at 2 p.m. in Center Baptist Church cemetery near Kosciusko. Survivors include three sons, James B. Furr Jr., Jack Odell Furr and Henry Carlton Furr, all of Jackson; two sisters, Mrs.James C. Snowden of Orlando, Fla., and Mrs. Ludie M. Webster of Carthage; a brother, Truman Stewart of Carthage; and six grandchildren. Mrs. Furr was the former Vashti Blocker, daughter of the late Robert W. and Lucy Carrotl Blocker, of Leake County. She was the widow of J.B. Furr Sr., who died in 1961, and was a member of the Highland Baptist Church.Endnotes
