Death
James Carson Furr, 39, of Norwich, Conn., died of a heart attack last Wednesday afternoon while he was on a Naval Cruise aboard ship. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Will Furr of West End and grew up in that community. He is survived by his wife and 12 children. The eldest, James Carson, Jr., is in the Air Force and the youngest children are three-year-old twins. Attending the funeral services for their brother from West End on Monday morning in Norwich were Mrs. Elbert Harris, and Neil and Reid Furr and another brother, Robert, of Sanford, and a niece, Mrs. Mack Kennedy, also of West End.Endnotes
