Death

LEDYARD — Michael John Furr, 31, of 42 Highland Drive was dead on arrival early Monday morning at William W. Backus Hospital. Born Jan. 16, 1957, in Groton, he was the son of Stella Sadosky Furr of Ledyard and the late James C. Furr. He was employed as an inspector at Electric Boat in Groton. Besides his mother, survivors include seven brothers, James and Jesse, both of Waterford, Richard of Montville, Robert of Colchester, James of Voluntown, William of Lisbon, and Ronald Furr of East Lyme; and seven sisters, Patricia Rabideau of Norwich, Sandra and Theresa Furr of New London, Barbara Ceccarelli of Plainfield, Donna Marthers of Montville, Debbie Hannon of Georgia and Jessica Raymond of Waterford. Private funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Labenski Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
