Death
Mr. Leonard W. Furr, age 60, of 431 Lorna St. passed away Friday, Dec. 11, 1970 in a Columbia, S.C. hospital. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the College Park Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Clifford Honeycutt, assisted by the Rev. Robert T. Helms, with interment in Sharon Memorial Park. He was born June 2, 1910 in Cabarrus County, the son of the late Philas and Nettie Hartsell Furr, and was retired after 34 years service from the Russell Transfer Co. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Ruby Bridgers of Roanoke Rapids, N.C., Mrs. Evelyn Ralston of Fort Jackson, S.C.; three sons, Ted Leonard Furr of Charlotte, Cleamon V. Furr of Charleston, S.C, Tommy R. Furr of Matthews, N.C.; two sisters, Mrs. Gladys Von Cannon of Locust, N.C., Mrs. Edith Dill of Concord, N.C.; three brothers, Norman Furr of Charlotte, E. K. Furr of Concord, N.C., Cliff Furr of Midland, N.C, and 12 grandchildren. Mr. Furr is at his home and will be taken to the church 30 minutes prior to services. Arrangements by McEwen.Military
