Death
NEW LONDON — Martin Osborne Furr, 80, 56825-A Millingport Road, died Monday (Dec 13, 1993) at Stanly Memorial Hospital, Albemarle. Born Aug 7, 1913, in Richfield, Furr was a son of the late Henry Martin and Gracie Mae Shoe Furr. Retired as a loom fixer from Cannon Mills Co. Concord, he was a member of New Mount Tabor United Methodist Church and Stanly Masonic Lodge 348. His wife, Mary Dona Lowder Furr, died in 1986. Survivors include daughters Mrs. David (Pamela) Ford and Mrs. Lysle (Gale) Misenheimer, both of Richfield, brother Clifford Furr, Concord, sisters Cannie Watson, Albemarle, and Edith Drye, Concord, three grandchildren, and three great-grand-children. Services: 2 pm Wednesday, New Mount Tabor United Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. Paul McClyre, pastor, and the Rev. Pressidy Rutledge. Burial in the church cemetery with full Masonic rites by Stanly Lodge 38. Visitation: 7-9 tonight, Hartsell Funeral Home, Albemarle.
