Death
Funeral rites were held Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Locust Baptist Church where she was a member for Mrs. Rosa Furr Treece, 86, of Route 1, Harrisburg, who died, Monday in Concord. Rev. E. W. Pate and Rev. Kenneth Pittman officiated. Interment followed in the church cemetery. A native of Stanly County, Mrs. Treece was born October 5, 1884, daughter of the late James and Belinda Teeter Furr. Her husband, James T. Treece, preceded her in death. Surviving are three sons, Charles H. of Harrisburg, Ben of Newport and Young of Concord; five daughters, Mrs. Roy Lambert, Mrs. Fred Smith and Mrs. Kate White, all of Kannapolis, Miss Dot Treece of Concord and Mrs. Mattie Smith of Salisbury: 16 grandchildren: 31 great grandchildren; and one brother, A.
