Death
John Allen Furr, 67, died at his home in Stanfield Rt. 2, on Monday September 29. He was a native of Stanly County and son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Hoke Furr. Funeral, under the direction of the Hartsell Funeral Home, was held at Love’s Grove Methodist Church Tuesday at 3 P.M. Services were conducted by the pastor, Rev. N. S. Ogburn, and former pastor, Rev. John Hamilton, and interment in the church cemetery. Surviving are his widow, the former Miss Fronie Whitley, and two daughters, Mrs. J. F. Bradford and Mrs. Z. V. of Stanfield. Three sisters and four brothers survive.The Albemarle Enterprise, Albemarle, North Carolina, October 2, 1947
