Death
Mrs. Mamie Ellen Huneycutt, 70, of Route 1, Stanford, died Thursday at 6 p.m. in Cabarrus Memorial Hospital in Concord. Funeral services were conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. at Mission Baptist Church of which she was a member. Burial was in the church cemetery. Rev. Robert Easley and Rev. Thurman Allred officiated. Born October 8, 1897 in Cabarrus County, she was daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Martin Furr. Her husband, Riley Hugh Huneycutt, preceded her in death. Survivors include: nine sons, Bruce E. and A.P. of Route 1, Stanfield, Floyd W. of China Grove, Hugh A. of Route 1, Oakboro, Rev. Clifford of Route 10, Charlotte, Rev. Marvin R. H., John L. and Coy E., all of Concord; three daughters, Mrs. Lee Smith and Mrs. Norman Helms of Route 2, Oakboro and Mrs. Curtis Smith of Albemarle; 76 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; six brothers; Henry Furr of Harrisburg, Buford Furr and Cleve Furr of Roberta, David Furr, Floyd Furr and Jay Furr of Concord; and two sisters, Mrs. Dick Furr and Mrs. Cora Barbee of Roberta.Stanly News and Press, Albemarle, North Carolina, January 9, 1968
