Death
HARRISBURG - The Rev. Clifford Wallace Honeycutt Sr., of 6200 Roberta Road, died Thursday, Nov. 22, 2007, at Carillon Assisted Living. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Hartsell Funeral Home, Concord. The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Mclean Road Baptist Church with the Rev. Ron Busher and the Rev. Ronald Helms officiating. The body will lie in state from 1 to 2 p.m. Burial will be at Cold Water Baptist Church Cemetery, Concord. Rev. Honeycutt was born on Nov. 30, 1927, in Stanly County, the son of the late Riley Honeycutt and the late Mamie (Furr) Honeycutt. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a retired minister of Mclean Road Baptist Church. Rev. Honeycutt served various churches in Concord and Cabarrus County. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by daughters Diane Teague and Brenda Honeycutt and a number of brothers and sisters. Survivors include his wife, Onie Dean (Seamon) Honeycutt of Harrisburg; sons, Clifford W. Honeycutt Jr., Daniel Honeycutt, David Honeycutt, all of Concord, and Ricky Honeycutt of China Grove; daughters, Patsy (Honeycutt) Burris and Angie (Honeycutt) Barbee, both of Harrisburg, Wanda (Honeycutt) Moore of Concord; brothers, the Rev. Marvin Honeycutt, A.P. Honeycutt, R.H. Honeycutt, all of Concord, and Coy Honeycutt of South Carolina; sisters, Leither Smith of Red Cross and Lois Smith of Albemarle; 13 grandchildren and seven great- grandchildren. The family will be meeting at their own respective homes.
