CONCORD, June 21. — The funeral services of Henry Lewis Furr, 85, who died Wednesday night in Cabarrus hospital, will be held Friday at 3 o'clock in his home here. Burial will be in Oakwood cemetery. Born in Cabarrus county. Mr. Furr was the son of the late Martin and Mrs. Mary Williams Furr. In early life he was a miner. Then he became a mechanic in the Cannon mills, and later a painter and carpenter. He had lived 30 years in Concord, where he was a member of Elizabeth Temple. He is survived by his widow, the former Miss Lydia Gadd, and four daughters.The Charlotte Observer, Charlotte, North Carolina, June 22, 1945
