Ector (spl)---Archie Lee Bellows, 86, whose residence was at Ector, died in a Bonham hospital Saturday night, March 19, 1960. He had been in declining health several months. Conducting the services at Wise Funeral Home Chapel at 4:30 p.m. Monday were the Rev. J. Aston Pollard, pastor of the First Methodist Church at Blossom, and Lefton Hester, minister of the Church of Christ. Interment was in Carson cemetery with grandsons serving as pallbearers. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Etta V. Bellows, of the home in Ector, seven sons, R. D. Bellows of Three Rivers, C. M. Bellows of Wichita FAlls, R. H. Bellows of Ector, H. T. Bellows of Vega, D. W. Bellows of Ector, W. E. Bellows of Savoy and T. W. Bellows of Garland. He is also survived by five daughters, Mrs. Rossie Lee Carson of Dallas, Mrs. Wanda Malone of Whitewright, Mrs. Iverna Wilson and Mrs. Marie Johnson, both of Ector, Mrs. Ruth Semer of Mesquite. Other survivors are a brother, W. H. Bellows of Ector; a sister, Mrs. Mary Mitchell, of Utica, Okla.; 52 grandchildren and 74 great-grandchildren. A native of Fannin county, Mr. Bellows was born at Ector Aug. 23, 1873, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. Bellows. Mr. Bellows was a member of the Methodist church and a retired farmer.
