Sherman Herald Democrat, May 10, 2005: Nevada, Texas - Thomas Wayne Bellows, 79, of Nevada and formerly of Ector, passed away Sunday, May 8, 2005, at his son's residence in Lavon, Texas. Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 12 at Mullican-Little Funeral Home in Bells/ Savoy. Mr. Wayne Johnson of the Ector Church of Christ will officiate. Burial will follow at Carson Cemetery. Mr. Bellows was born on May 17, 1925, in Walnut Grove, Texas, son of Archie Lee Bellows and Etta Taylor Bellows and attended Savoy schools. Wayne was a retired machinist and a member of the church of Christ. He served as a medic in the U.S. Army during World War II. He had lived in Nevada for the past 26 years, and prior to that, had lived in Garland and Ector. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Surviving are Mary Bellows of Nevada; son, Joe Bellows and his wife, Rose Farmer of Lavon, Texas; daughter, Audrey Merryman and her husband, Nolan of Royse City, Texas; sisters, Iverna Wilson and Marie Johnson, both of Ector; 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren He was preceded in death by his brothers, Doug, D.W., Robert, Taylor, Charlie and Gene Bellows; and sisters, Ruth Simmer, Wanda Malone and Rossie Carson. The family will be at Mullican-Little Funeral Home from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays.
