He was born May 24, 1898 in Bonham, Texas to Archie Lee and Etta Victoria (Taylor) Bellows. He married Alice Dewey Crutcher on February 11, 1917 in Bonham. He was a resident of Three Rivers and a retired truck driver for Mobile Oil Company. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Three Rivers an a past member of the Evergreen Lodge Number 325 in Three Rivers. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Bellows in 1971, a son, Clyde D.L. Bellows in 1973, a great-granddaughter, Charis D. Ann Blaschke in 1987. He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-laws, Mr. and Mrs. Richard C. Bellows, Mr. and Mrs. Rusty Bellows, Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Bellows, Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Bellows, Mr. and Mrs. Dudley Bellows, all of Three Rivers, and Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Bellows of Corpus Christi; two daughters and sons-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Blaschke of Three Rivers and Mr. and Mrs. M. E. Crisp of Corpus Christi; one daughter-in-law, Mr. Clyde (Velma) Bellows of San Antonio; one brother, Wayne Bellows of Nevada, Texas; three sisters, Iverna Wilson, Marie Johnson and Ruth Sinor, all of Ector, Texas; 35 grandchildren, and 37 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday August 6, 1988 at First Assembly of God Church in Three Rivers with the Rev. Mark Crisp officiating. Interment will follow in the Three Rivers Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the First Assembly of God Church in Three Rivers or to the Three Rivers Cemetery Association.
