Bellows, 88, were held Saturday afternoon in the chapel of Wise Funeral home in Bonham. Lloyd Butts, Church of Christ, minister, officiated. Interment was in Carson cemetery at Ector. Mrs. Bellows died in a Sherman hospital Friday, Jan. 26, 1968, after an extended illness. She was taken worse Thursday and carried to the hospital at that time. She was born Aug. 23, 1879, in Mississippi, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Taylor. She came to Texas with her parents when she was 12 years of age. The Taylors first settled in Grayson county but moved to the Ector area two years later and Mrs. Bellows had lived here since. Her husband, Arch H. Bellows, preceded her in death in 1960. She was a member of the Ector Church of Christ.
Survivors are five sons, Robert Bellows, county commissioner, and Dowlen Bellows, both of Ector, Taylor Bellows of Vega, R. D. Bellows of Three Rivers and Wayne Bellows of Garland; five daughters, Mrs. Ray Wilson, Mrs. J. B. Johnson and Mrs. Ruth Simer, all of Ector; Mrs. Z. D. Carson of Savoy and Mrs. W. D. Malone of Randolph; two sisters, Mrs. Nona Hicks of McKinney and Mrs. Fannie Price of Tom Bean; a brother, Eugene Taylor of Selfs, 53 grandchildren, 112 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Two sons preceded her in death.
