Keith Wiseman, associate pastor, and the Rev. Mary Sue Smith, associate pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park under direction of Sanders Funeral Home. She died Friday, Oct. 31, 1997, in Methodist Hospital. She was born Oct. 1, 1909, in Haskell. She moved to Lubbock from Tahoka in 1940. She married James Benton McPherson on Oct. 8, 1930, in Idalou. He died May 1, 1980*. She attended Rosebud schools. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Lubbock Women's Club and a sewing club. She was a homemaker. Survivors include a daughter, Barbara of Lubbock; a son, James W. of Houston; a brother, Hobson of Lubbock; three sisters, Lucille Wood, Opal Harris and Ernestine Beecher, all of Lubbock; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
