Lubbock Avalanche Journal, Lubbock, Texas, Sunday, April 28, 1968, Page 15, Col. 1: Mrs. Aycock Dies In City. Services for Mrs. Laura Bell Aycock, 91, of 1613 18th St. who died Saturday in Methodist Hospital here, are set for 2:30 p.m. Monday in First Methodist Church here.
Officiating will be the Rev. J. O. Haymes, assistant pastor of First Methodist Church. Burial will be in City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of sanders Funeral Home here.
Mrs. Aycock came to Lubbock in 1929 from Lorenzo. Her husband farmed in the Lorenzo area from 1916 to 1929.
Survivors include four sons, Gilmer of 3412 42nd St., Orban of 3813 38th St., Hobson of 2613 33rd St. and Rex of Tulia; five daughters, Mrs. N. H. Wood of 3805 39th St., Mrs. J. B. McPherson of 3309 24th St., Mrs. Thomas Sides of 3311 40th St., Mrs. L. M. Harris of 5005 15th St. and Mrs. Henry Sciba of Houston; a sister, Mrs. Charles Baker of Hillsboro; 14 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Bill Aycock, David Aycock, R. Rex Aycock, Charles Aycock, Tommy Sides, Jerry Sides, Larry Sides and James McPherson.
