Gilmer Gay Aycock

Aycock, 75, of 3412 42nd St., will be at 3 p.m. Friday in the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. J. Wade Griffin, associate pastor, officiating. Assisting will be Dr. J. O. Haymes, associate pastor of the church. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park under direction of Sanders Funeral Home.
Aycock died at 5:15 p.m. Wednesday following a lengthy illness. Born in Bells Falls, Aycock had been a Lubbock resident the past 38 years. He moved to Lubbock from Tahoka in 1937.
A retired insurance agent, Aycock was the Lubbock representative of Security Life and Accident Co., of Denver, Colo., 39 years. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Lubbock and the Lubbock Lions Club.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Alice; a son, Bill of Dallas; five sisters, Mrs. Lucille Wood of 3513-B 35th St., Mrs. J. B. McPherson of 3309 24th St., Mrs. Tommie A. Sides of 3311 40th St., Mrs. L. M. Harris of 3008 23rd St., and Mrs. Jack Beecher of Houston; three brother, H. D. of 3408 61st St., Rex of Tulia and Orbarn of Tahoka and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Tom Ingram, Bob Harvey, Hugh McKelvy, Raymond Marshall, Wayne Henly, Roy Dickey, Ed Merriman and Conway Clingan.
