On the 1900 U. S. Census of Cleveland, Chippewa Co., Wisconsin, Catherine Waite appears as a widow with her children Otis, Grace, May and Walter. Catherine states she has been married 35 years, and is the mother of 7, 6 of whom are currently living. Catherine and Otis are farmers.
On the 1906 Canada census of Assinibola West District, Saskatchewan, Catherine Waite appears with her children Otes, May and Walter.
On the 1911 Canada Census of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Otis Waite appears as head of a household which includes his sister May and mother Catherine. Listed directly after the family is Walter Waite, head of household. All male members are farmers. They came to Canada in 1905. Otis, May and Walter are single. Catherine is a widow. Catherine states she was born Aug. 1842.
On the 1916 census of District 24, Swift Current, Saskatchewan, Canada, the Waite family appears. Otis and his mother Catherine appear in one household. Directly after their listing is Maurice, Grace, Gladys and Lloyd Campo. Two households later, Walter and Lillian Waite appear along with Lillian's brother Henry Altman.
On the 1920 U. S. Census of Superior, Douglas Co., Wisconsin, Catherine Waite is in the household of her son-in-law Richard A. Sheff and her daughter Alice H. Richard is doing electrical work on a coal dock. There are no children in the household.
Obituary from The Leader-Post, Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, April 17, 1930: Mrs. C. Waite Passes Away at Mortlach. The death occurred at her residence in Mortlach of Mrs. Catherine Waite, 83, on Monday evening. The late Mrs. Waite was amongst the pioneers of this district, coming here as a widow with her five children from the Western States and landing at Caron before there were any buildings. She leaves to mourn her three daughters, Mrs. Compeau north of Mortlach, Mrs. Aultman south of Parkbeg, and Mrs. Sheff of Superior, Wis., U.S.A. and one son Walter of Mortlach. Mrs. Waite was taken sick about two weeks ago with a cold which developed into pneumonia. The funeral services were held on Wednesday afternoon at 2.5 o'clock from the United Church.
