Obituary from The Bucklin Banner, Bucklin Ford Co., Kansas, Thursday, October 4, 1962: A. G. Kirkpatrick Coronary Fatal: Funeral services were held October 4, at 2 p.m. in Bucklin City Auditorium for A. G. Kirkpatrick, who died Monday, October 1 in the Kiowa County Hospital in Greensburg of a heart attack. Paul Manning officiated at the services. Mrs. Dale Smith, sang, "No Night There" and "Beyond the Sunset" with Mrs. E. A. Stephenson at the piano. Casket bearers were Dallas Schellhamer, Troy Davis, Clay Neier, John Luft, John Smith Alvie Gresham. Interment was in Bucklin Cemetery. Obituary. Glenn Kirkpatrick was born to Jim (J. H. ) and Blanche Kirkpatrick on January 24, 1897 near Clearwater in Sedgwick County. He departed this life on October 1, 1962 in Greensburg Hospital at an age of 65 years, 9 months and 23 days. Glenn moved with his parents to a farm north of Bucklin in 1910. He attended school in Bucklin and was graduated with the Class of 1915. On November 18, 1918, he was untied in marriage with Jessie Melia by E. C. Whittiker, the minister of the Christian Church. During hi life he was a farmer-stockman. He spent much time working with 4-H and Farm Bureau. Horses were his hobby and he spent as much time working with them as possible. He was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, a sister, Esther in 1915 at the age of 12 and a daughter, Marcella on March 12, 1934 at the age of 12. He is survived by the widow; Jessie of the home; three sons; Keith of Bucklin, Kenneth of Ft. Collins, Colorado and Warren of Dodge City; four grandchildren: Arden, Kelvin, Nancy and Shanen, and a host of other relatives, friends, and loved ones.
