C. Keith Kirkpatrick

Obituary from the Bucklin Banner, August 9, 1995: C. Keith Kirkpatrick, 65, died August 7, 1995, at his home in Bucklin. He was born April 20, 1930 in Dodge City, the son of Glen and Jessie Melia Kirkpatrick. He was a 1948 graduate of Bucklin High School. He also attended Dodge City Community College. A lifetime resident of Bucklin, he was a farmer and stockman. He was a member of the Bucklin United Methodist Church, also serving on several boards: Soil Conservation, Bucklin Co-op and the Bucklin recreation commission. He was involved with the building of the Bucklin High School track and field, all at Bucklin. On November 25, 1950 he married Charlene Swayze at Bucklin. She survives. Other survivors include: two daughters, Shannen DeWeese, Bucklin, and Lynelle K. Sherman, Kansas City, KS; two brothers, Kenneth of Fort Collins, CO and Warren, Dodge City; and two grandsons.; Funeral services were Wednesday, August 9 at the United Methodist Church in Bucklin, with the Rev. James Pollom presiding. Burial was in the Bucklin Cemetery. The family suggests memorials to the Keith Kirkpatrick Athletic Memorial Fund in care of Minnis Mortuary, Bucklin.
