Rocky Mountain News, September 27, 2001: O. Kenneth Kirkpatrick, 82, of Fort Collins and Tucson, died Sept. 7. A memorial will be 3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9, at Fort Logan National Cemetery. Mr. Kirkpatrick was born in Bucklin, Kan., on July 4, 1919. He married Lavonne Hyle. He worked at the Department of Agriculture Denver then retired as director of State Soil Conservation Services. Survivors include sons Arden, Kelvin; brother Warren; two grandchildren; a great-grandchild.
