Seattle Daily Times, Seattle, Washington, Wednesday, October 4, 1944, Page 18: Seattleites Buy Lee Hotel, Port Angeles. Purchase of the Lee Hotel at Port Angeles, largest on the Olympic Peninsula, was announced today by Earl and T. F. Kirkpatrick of Seattle, who said the hostelry would be remodeled to include coffee shop, dining room and lobby improvements, and would be managed by T. F. Kirkpatrick. Earl Kirkpatrick is the owner of the Kirkpatrick's restaurant here. The hotel was bought from Walter G. and Bessie C. Bovee, who also operate Singer's Tavern on Lake Crescent. Bovee, a former Seattle hotel man, said the tavern would open next season under his own name.
Southern Illinoisan, unknown date: Services in Christopher for T. F. Kirkpatrick. Thomas F. Kirkpatrick, 86, of 412 W. Sylvia St., Christopher, was found dead of natural causes at his home Monday. Mr. Kirkpatrick was a retired miner and member of the Masonic Lodge in California. Born Nov. 9, 1883, in Franklin County, he was the son of Grundy and Alice Mulkey Kirkpatrick. He leaves sons, Earl and Glen, both of Seattle, Wash., and Tommy of Palo Alto, Calif.; a daughter, Mildred Kirkpatrick of Seattle; a brother, Harley of Christopher; sisters, Mrs. Anna Renfro and Mary Renfro and Mary Burkett, both of Mulkeytown, and Elsie Hacking of Fairfield,. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Gilbert Funeral Home, Christopher. The Rev. Donald Wright will officiate. Burial will be in Mulkeytown Cemetery. Friends may call after 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
