Seattle Daily Times, Seattle, Washington, Wednesday, October 4, 1944, Page 18: Seattleites Buy Lee Hotel, Port Angeles. Purchase of the Lee Hotel at Port Angeles, largest on the Olympic Peninsula, was announced today by Earl and T. F. Kirkpatrick of Seattle, who said the hostelry would be remodeled to include coffee shop, dining room and lobby improvements, and would be managed by T. F. Kirkpatrick. Earl Kirkpatrick is the owner of the Kirkpatrick's restaurant here. The hotel was bought from Walter G. and Bessie C. Bovee, who also operate Singer's Tavern on Lake Crescent. Bovee, a former Seattle hotel man, said the tavern would open next season under his own name.
Witnesses to Earl and Stella's marriage in 1962 was his mother, Dess M. Kirkpatrick and his sister, Mildred L. Peters.
