Obituary from the Palladium-Item, December 27, 1985, Section B, Page 2, Column 4: Stella Judd Sandlin, 90, died this morning at the home of her daughter, Gladys Fetters at 16 N.W. 10th St. She was a native of Kentucky, and was a former employee of Al Jackson Bakery, Miller Cafeteria and the Starr Piano Co. Survivors in addition to the daughter, include three other daughters, Frankie Burelison of Marana, Ariz., Grace Turner of Liberty and Rosemary Jenkins of Gahanna, Ohio; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Velma Minor of Indianapolis and Nellie Goodlin, of Richmond; one brother, Walter Judd of Fairplay, Colo.; nieces and nephews. Funeral service for Stella Judd Sandlin will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Jones Funeral Home, with the Rev. Phillip Hodgkin, pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Earlham Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Reid Memorial Hospital Foundation for the Hospice Program.
