Grace Sandlin

Grace Sandlin Turner 86 of Liberty died from injuries sustained in an automobile accident Thursday January 20, 2011. She was born in Richmond to Levi and Stella Judd Sandlin and lived in Richmond before moving to Liberty 54 years ago. She was a member of the Abington Christian Church, and a loving mother. She enjoyed painting, ceramics, needle point, knitting, baking, and spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include four children Rodney and wife Deanna Turner of Warsaw, Rick and wife Debbie Turner of Duncan, Oklahoma, Randy and wife Vicki Turner of Fort Wayne, and Becky and husband Pete (Turner) Burns of Liberty, eleven grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren, her sisters Gladys Fetters of Richmond, Frankie Burelison of Snowflake Arizona, nieces and nephews. Her husband Paul died February 11, 2009. She is also preceded in death by one grandson Kevin E. Turner, her parents, one sister Rosemary, and one brother Edwin. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday January 30, 2011 at Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home with Pastor Bud Parrish officiating. Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
