Engle, page 305: Levi is from Owsley Co., Ky. the two oldest children were born at Gray Hawk, Ky.; the next near Bellefont, Boone Co., Ark.; the fourth at Richmond, Ind.; and the fifth near Hollansburg, Dark Co., Ohio. Levi is employed by the Starr Piano Co. He is a member of the Masonic Order and of the Baptist Church. Residence: Richmond, Ind.
Obituary from the Palladium-Item, April 26, 1942, Page 2, Column 3: Levi P. Morton Sandlin, 53 years old, died at his home, 1217 South Fifth street, Saturday morning. A native of Kentucky, he had resided in Richmond the past 22 years and had been employed at the Star Piano company. His death was sudden. Survivors are the widow, Stella; four daughters, Mrs. Frankie Burelison of Richmond, Misses Gracie, Rosemary and Gladys, at home; four brothers, Henry of Owsley county, Ky., Daniel and Honie, Gray Hawk, Ky., and Morris, Andrews, Ind.; his sisters, Mrs. Ellen Sheppard, Batavia, Ohio, Mrs. Bertie Bullock, Jamestown, Ohio; and two grandchildren. Mr. Sandlin was a member of the Baptist church and Richmond lodge, No. 196, F. and A. M. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday at the Klute Funeral home. Rev. Clarence E. Baker officiating. Burial will be in Earlham cemetery. Friends may call at the residence from 1 p.m. Sunday until 10 a.m. Monday.
