Individual Details
Abraham RIBLET
(26 Jul 1771 - Abt 1813 or 1814)
There was another Abraham Riblet from Lancaster County born about 1753 or 1758 who was in the Revolutionary War. The pension file for this Abraham Riblet shows that he was living in Lancaster County in 1818 when he applied for a pension and was living in Lebanon County in 1820. Many people erroneously assume these two Abraham Riblets are the same person.

Notes
Miscellaneous
Abraham "Replit" was living on land owned by Samuel Riddle and adjoining land of Thomas Nixon on 1 October 1798 when he was taxed by the United States for one log house, 14 x 16, valued at $6 and 100 acres valued at $156.Property
Articles of agreement from Abraham Riblet to Jacob Moyer were signed after the original deed stating that Abraham Riblet would execute a deed to Jacob Moyer once John Smith, Bartholomew Riblet's grandson and one of his heirs, became 21. John Riblet gave Jacob Moyer two notes for 21 pounds each that he was to deliver to Abraham Riblet once he received a deed for the property. It appears that since Bartholomew Riblet's grandson was not 21, Abraham Riblet should not have made the original deed.Death
Abraham Riblet is listed on the 1813 tax list and Catherine Riblet is listed on the 1814 tax list so Abraham must have died sometime between 1813 and 1814.Endnotes
