Moses Kekuaiwa

LIFE
A. He was the second son of Kinau (Kamakau, Ruling Chiefs of Hawaii, p 410).
B. Conflict: Rubincam, America's Only Royal Family, p 84 lists birth date as 25 July 1829.
C. He was raised by Kaikioewa (Kamakau, Ruling Chiefs of Hawaii, p 348) and his mate Keaweamahi (Hawaiian Chiefs Biographical Abstract).
D. "In 1847 Moses left school," the Royal School (Liliuokalani, Hawaii's Story by Hawaii's Queen, p 8).
E. "The prince had a child with Abigail Maheha but the fate of that child is unknown. He died unmarried" (Descendants of Prince Keeaumoku I, HMS G65, Chart 8-A-2). Pukui, Hawaiian Genealogies, p 106 states he had no children - perhaps this means surviving children.
F. He died of measles on same day as Leleiohoku - October 12, 1848 (Liliuokalani, Hawaii's Story by Hawaii's Queen, p 8).
Conflict: Oukah, Hawaiian Royal & Noble Genealogies, p 179 states he died of whooping cough.
Conflict: Hawaiian Chiefs Biographical Abstract states death date as November 24, 1848. Cartwright, The Genealogy of the Kamehameha Dynasty, p21 states death date as December 24, 1848.
