Dr. Elbridge Maxwell BRENIMAN

(24 Oct 1871 - 22 Oct 1944)

Elbridge received his early education in the schools of Iowa, was a graduate of Rush Medical College, where he received his degree as M.D. in the states of Illinois and Iowa. He took up his practice in Ackley, Iowa. During his years of residence in Ackley he bought and improved residence and business properties, owned considerable Franklin Co. farm land. For two terms of four years he served as Ackley's mayor. He was recognized as a good Democrat.
Funeral services were held at the C.H. Brandt funeral parlors,conducted by the Rev. A.K. Henning, pastor of the First Evangelical church. Interment of his remains was in the mosoleum at the Oakwood Cemetery, Ackley.
The only reference to Elbridge found is that he was Ackley Mayor from 1918-1922 and that he donated $2 to the Sauerkraut Days in 1908.
