Frances was educated at the Hardscrabble school in Lincoln Twp, Poweshiek Co, Iowa. She attended Grinnell College after which she taught school for several years before she died. She was a member of the Methodist Church at Brooklyn.

Last week we announced that Miss Fannie Brenniman was teaching the Center School in Lincoln. It should have been the Dougherty school.
