1830 Monroe County, Virginia census, page 14: Greer Dillon was listed as Graah Dilyon. To my knowledge, Greer was the first Dillon to appear in Monroe County. He was listed with two boys and two girls under 5 and a boy 5-9. He and his wife were both listed as age 20-29.

1840 Monroe County, Virginis census: Greer was listed with the following household members, a boy and two girls under 5, 2 boys and girl 5-9, and 2 boys and a girl 10-14. Both he and his wife listed their age as 30-39, and neither could read and write. Four of the family were listed as employed in agriculture. Presumed neighbors were William Stone and Thomas Lively.
