"Claude Brewer was a contractor who built houses. As a result, he moved around quite a bit following available jobs. That is why he was in Eudora, Mississippi, for the 1920 census. He shortly moved back to McComb, but left for good in 1930. He took his family to the West Indies because he obtained contracts to build houses for oil company employees. Eventually, the family returned to the U. S. and settled in Baton Rouge, Louisiana." (Davis Brewer, email: dbrewer@magic-sweep.com, 2003.)
