Barbara Lou Moore Appleton, 90, of Burkburnett went to be with Jesus on July 13 after many years of illness. Barbara was a very special woman and will be very deeply missed by her family and friends.
A celebration of Barbara's life will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 18, 2019 at the Burkburnett Memorial Cemetery Pavilion.
Barbara was born on April 7, 1929 in Iowa Park to the late Vernon and Mildred Moore, and was one of ten children. Barbara retired from the Base Exchange after 30 years of service. She was a devoted mother who was very passionate about her family. She also loved crafting, working in the yard, and enjoyed cooking large meals for everyone.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband William G. Appleton; son Stephen Rice; grandson Brian Chancellor; and granddaughter Chloe Appleton.
Barbara is lovingly remembered by daughters Karen Chancellor and husband Jerry, and Pam Harper and husband Bob; son William Appleton and wife Kristeen; grandchildren Chad, Stephen, Kim, Joni, Tiffany, Emily, and Gabriel, along with many great-grandchildren.
