Stephen Austin Rice
(27 May 1951 - 9 Mar 1981)
A loving husband, brother, father and son, Steve died at age 29 after a brave battle with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia. In 1969, he graduated from John Hirschi High School in Wichita Falls, Texas. He worked for General Electric Credit Corporation until March of 1978 as an area manager for North Texas and Southern Oklahoma. As a devoted Christian, Steve was extremely active in the youth division of the Cameron Baptist Church as a teacher and department director. He left behind a wife, Victoria, and two children, Stephen and Kimberly. He also left us wonderful memories that will last a lifetime. His headstone reads: "For many are called, but few are Chosen."
