WATERLOO — Verla M. (Bieber) Wilson, 79, of Waterloo, died at home Monday, Feb. 25.
She was born March 19, 1939, in Frankfort, Kan., the daughter of Morse and Elsie Rackstraw Feldhausen. She married Robert Wilson on Aug. 31, 1957, in Frankfort, Kan. He died Jan. 10, 1993. She then married John Bieber on June 21, 1996, in Waterloo. He died June 29, 2017.
Verla was employed by Kmart in customer service for many years before retiring in 1998. She was a longtime member of St. Paul’s Methodist Church.
Survived by: three sons, Rodney Wilson of Frankfort, Kan., Gary (Anne) Wilson of Chicago and Edward (Bea) Wilson of Waterloo; a daughter, Penny Wilson of Waterloo; six grandchildren, Nick Wilson, Josh Wilson, Kyle Wilson, Garrett (Amanda) Ramthun, Ben (Echo) Wilson and Teri Burt; and four great-grandchildren, Octavian, Reese, Jasper and Quinn.
Preceded in death by: her parents; four brothers; and three sisters.
Celebration of Life: from 3-6 p.m. Saturday, March 16, at Bridges Senior Living. Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials: may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice.
