Marjorie M. McAdams, 78, formerly of the Frankfort area, died Monday, Feb. 1, 2010, at Maryville, Mo.A service was at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 4, at the United Methodist Church, Frankfort. The Rev. Norma Jean Miller officiated. the organist was Janet Plegge.
Pallbearers were Don McAdams Jr., Mark Feldhausen, Alan Feldhausen, John Anderson, Duane Anderson and Ed Wilson.
Honorary pallbearers were Bill Feldhausen, George Feldhausen, Roger Teagarden, Ron Feldhausen, Gary Wilson and Rod Wilson.
Marjorie McAdams was born March 10, 1931, near
Winifred, Kansas the daughter of Morse and Elsie Rakestraw Feldhausen. She attended and graduated from Frankfort High School.She married Kenneth McAdams on July 8, 1948. She worked in retail and the restaurant business, but spent most of her time as a homemaker, raising her children. She and her husband lived in Maryville, Missouri.
Survivors include her husband; sons Donald McAdams, Maryville, Missouri, Steve McAdams, Ponca, Ark., and John McAdams, Kansas City; two sisters, Doris Teagarden, Marysville,Missouri and Verla Beiber, Waterloo, Iowa; six grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 10 step-great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents; her son David; her sister Fern; and her brothers, Arthur, Edward, Marion, Art and Jack Feldhausen.
Burial was in Frankfort Cemetery, Frankfort, Kansas.
