Morse Feldhausen, a son of Andrew and
Hattie Feldhausen was born on October 22,
1895 on a farm 7 ½ miles northwest of
Frankfort, Kansas. He died in his home on
Kansas Avenue, Friday, June 2, 1972. He
spent his whole lifetime in the Frankfort
community and was well know in all of
Marshall County.
On November 30, 1916 he was married to
Miss Elsie Rakestraw in her parents home.
there was born to this union Arthur, who
died at birth, Edward, Doris, Fern, Marion,
Jack, Marjorie, Art, and Verla.
They farmed until 1954 when Morse and
Elsie moved to Frankfort, Kansas where
they operated the Green Lawn Rest Home
until 1971. He was a member of the Odd
Fellows Lodge of Frankfort and with his
brother lodge members enjoyed many
pleasant hours in their club room.
He is survived by his wife, Elsie, his brother
George and sister, Louise and Pearl and all
his sons and daughters, nineteen living
grandchildren and one great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his brothers
Harry, and Archie and their sisters Merle,
Emma, and Hazel who died in childhood
and one grandchild.
Funeral services were held Monday, June
5, 1972 in the Padden Chapel with Reverend
C.L. Gifford officiating.
Burial was in the Frankfort Cemetery,
Frankfort, Kansas.
