Mrs. Elsie C. Feldhausen of Frankfort,
Kansas passed away Wednesday, January
25, 1989 at the Frankfort Community
Care Home in Frankfort, Kansas. She
was ninety years old.
She was born August 19, 1898 northwest
of Frankfort, the daughter of Cloyd and
Bertha (Thomas) Rakestraw. She attended
elementary and high schools in Frankfort
and lived in the Frankfort community all
her life.
Elsie was married to Morse Feldhausen
on November 30, 1916 at her parents home
northwest of Frankfort.
She owned and operated a nursing home
in Frankfort from 1954 to 1976.
She was preceded in death by her husband
Morse, a son Edward Feldhausen and a
Daughter, Fern Lane.
Survivors include three daughters, Doris
Teagarden, Summerville, South Carolina;
Marjorie McAdams, Liberty, Missouri and
Verla Wilson, Waterloo, Iowa; three sons,
Marion Feldhausen, Wichita, Kansas; Jack
Feldhausen, Marysville, Kansas and Art
Feldhausen, Wamego, Kansas; eighteen
grandchildren and twenty-three great
grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m.
Saturday, January 28, 1989 at Padden
Chapel in Frankfort, Kansas. Reverend
John Burgreen officiated. Dana
Feldhausen sang "How Great Thou Art"
Accompanied by Shirley Polson.
Pallbearers where her grandsons.
Burial was in the Frankfort Cemetery,
Frankfort, Kansas.
