Ellis Island website: found his brother, Dimitrios [James] Papagianakis, whose destination was the home of his brother, this Grigorios Papagianakos, at 63 Newark Street, Hoboken, NJ: Dimitrios Papagianakos - father Nicolaou from Agios Ioannis. Arrived in Ellis Island April 17, 1914; age 18, single; going to his brother, Grigorios Papagianakos at 63 Newark Street, Hoboken, NJ. This was his first time in the U.S. This info puts his birth year at 1896, which corresponds to the information we have.

Catherine Pappas Kostakos remembers that he went back to Greece to visit, which is something that not many other family members did. Also, that the bottom of his jaw was tilted, due to an injury -- perhaps a war injury? He was softspoken and kind.
