Jacob Hershey Senior

Jacob Hershey and Anna Newcomer lived on a farm owned by Jacob's father, Andrew Hershey, in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. The farm was deeded to Jacob in 1791. In 1792 Jacob and the family moved to Salisbury, Pennsylvania. A monument tells of Jacob Hershey's contributions to the Hershey Mennonite community (earlier called the Hess Mennonite community) in Salisbury, Pennsylvania.
