Individual Details

Anna Newcomer

(25 Jul 1752 - 8 Jan 1832)

Anna Newcomer's parents were Wolfgang Newcomer and Elizabeth Maudlin Weber, according to the Biographical Annuals of Lancaster County, but this conflicts with Allan Garber's research. I have used Garber's parentage.

Anna Newcomer and Jacob Hershey moved from Dauphin County to Salisbury Township in 1792. They gave parts of their farm land for a school in 1814, for a church in 1834 and for two cemeteries.

Daniel Lehman gave different birth, death and spouse information for Anna Newcomer. Mr. Lehman gave Anna's life as 6 October 1759 to 9 October 1808, and her husband as Daniel Witmer (1759-13 June 1819). Lehman also listed Daniel Witmer as Anna's first husband, but Lehman did not list the name of the second husband.

Anna Newcomer had a sister "Anna Elisabeth Newcomer," according to Allan Garber.
