Johannes B. Hershey Senior

Johannes Hershey was the first Deacon to serve the Hess congregation of the Mennonite church (later became the Paradise-Hershey portion of the Pequea district of the Lancaster Mennonite Conference). Johannes was ordained as a deacon by 1813 in the Pequea district.
