Individual Details
Johannes B. Hershey
(1741 - 4 Apr 1811)
Johannes Hershey was ordained a minister at New Danville (presumably as a Mennonite preacher). In 1791 he transferred from the Mennonite faith to the United Brethren. He moved to Beaver Creek, Maryland in 1793, where he served as a United Brethren minister. Confusingly, he was buried in a Mennonite Church cemetery.

Notes
Birth
John Hershey was born in 1740, according to Don Brubaker.Burial
Johannes Hershey was buried in the Mount Zion Mennonite Cemetery in Mapleville, Washington, Maryland, according to one source, but in the Beaver Creek Cemetery, according to Don Brubaker. As Johannes was a Brethren minister, I lean to the Beaver Creek (Brethren) Cemetery as more likely--however, the Beaver Creek Cemetery is Church of the Brethren, while Johannes was United Brethren. Will
Johannes Hershey's will is B-222, Washington County, Maryland, Microfilm Vol. B, Image 36.Endnotes
