Bert Putnam of Monticello, formerly of Big Lake was recipient of a 35 year service pin tendered to him last week by the Northern Pacific Pailroad Co. Mr Putnam began his duties on the Big Lake section crew in 1919. Later on he became a freight helper atRoyalton, Swanville, and other N.P. depots until he began work at St Cloud freight office, where is foreman of the railroads freight department. The pin is a very attractive unit and has a ruby embedded in its upper center. The 45 year pin has a diamond and Bert plans to earn that one also.
