The following reference to his will is of record in Order Book 1686-1692, page 349, 2 March, 1691: "Whereas a Nuncupative will of francis Gowre of this County late decd. was duly proved in this Court whereby Stanley Gowre his brother is appointed Exor. ordered by the Court to take into his possession the Estate as also that he take under his care & tuition the children of the Said Francis."
