I believe this is his guardianship of his niece, daughter of his brother John. His brother Stanly, made Guardian of Winifred's sister Elizabeth, the same day.

Guardianship of Winifred Gower. Francis Gower & John Branham of Richard are bound in the sum of 100#'s Sterling. Francis Gower shall well and truly pay Winifred Gower, all estate or estates that shall come to his hands as soon as Winifred Gower shall attin lawful age or when required to by the Court.
