Leah Williams was the daughter of William Williams, who died in Henrico Co VA, 1717. The inventory of his estate was returned 8 Oct 1717 by Charles Williams, Administrator. Prince George Co VA Deeds & Wills, 1713-1718, p.102s

The JACKSONS OF KENTUCKY book states that her name was Leah Neal, probably the daughter of Thomas Neal - I believe the information had come from THE JACKSON & RELATED FAMILIES: THREE HUNDRED YEARS IN AMERICA by William G. Haemmel. No other source given. Apparently there is a stone monument, placed by descendants in 1954, at "The Cottage" in Amelia County which also lists her name as Lean Neal.

After the death of Ralph Jackson in 1709, Leah married John Pattison, probably about 1712.

On 9 May 1726 John Pattison of Bristol Parish, Henrico County, Va. and Leah his wife, conveyed to Buller Herbert of Bristol Parish, Prince George County, Gent, 331 acres in Bristol Parish, being part of a 600 acre grant in Charles City County to Christopher Woodward by patent 24 August 1637 was conveyed by Samuel Woodward, his son with 119 acres more of said granted land to Anthony Wyatt, who conveyed it to Robert Burgess and he to William Williams. To whom 331 acres was afterwards granted by patent 8 April 1674, and after the death of William Williams the land descended unto Leah Pattison and Rachael Williams, his daughters. Signed: John (x) Pattison, Leah (x) Pattison. The witnesses were James Powell Cocke and Richard Herbert. (Ref: Prince George County, Va., Deeds & Wills, 1713-1728, p. 299.)
The grant mentioned above to Christopher Woodward is in CAVALIERS, Vol 1, p.69 600 acres in Chas. Citty Co. on 24 Aug 1637 to Christopher Woodward. Bounded upon Appamatox, land lately belonging to William Farrar, Gent; 150 acres for himself, his late wife Margaret, his now wife Dorothy and 450 acres for transport of 9 persons. PB 1, p.469.
The grant to William Williams is in CAVALIERS, Vol 2, p.146. 331 acres, Chas. cytty Co. to Wm Williams on S side Appammattock River. Apr 1674. Begin at Saml. Woodward; to creek parting Mr. Farrer & sd Woodward, along Jno. Maise [Mayes]. 291 acres sold by Saml. Woodward to Antho. Wyatt on 8 Oct 1650 who sold it to Robt Burges on 23 Jan 1655, who sold it to sd Williams on 20 Sept 1660 as by records of Bristow Court may appear. Another 40 acres for transport of Richard Wright.
