John JACKSON

John's wife's given name was Mary. One known daughter, Leah, whose married name was Moore. Inventory of his estate said filed in 1713.

THE JACKSONS OF LOWER VIRGINIA states that a Prince George Co record shows that John Jackson, Nicholas Oberby & Richard Moor were among the buyers at the estate sale of Major Joshua Wynne. Recorded 8 Mar 1615/16. [prob should have been 1715-16] Either the sale was held some years before the accounts were turned into the Court, or this is a different John Jackson, or a typographical error.

HENRICO CO VA DEEDS 1706-1737;
p.130/399 2 Jul 1733 James Moor and Leah his wife of Henrico Co sold to Daniel Jackson of Prince George Co, 100 acres on North side Swift Creek which fell to Leah, wife of James More, from John Jackson, dec'd father of said Leah. Land is next to William Jackson & Joseph Jackson. Wit: Giles Allegre, John Wooldridge, John Nash. Rec. 2st Mon, Jul 1733.

A few years after the above deed, James Moor died and Leah petitioned the church wardens of Dale Parish to bind out her children John, Robert, and Ann.
